Qum Ota Pilgrimage Site

Our research on the shrine located in the village of Laylak-uya in the Zomin district revealed the following… “…One of the saints who attained great perfection was Mawlana Lutfullah, may Allah’s mercy be upon him. This blessed person hailed from the village of Laylakcon and came to Samarkand in pursuit of knowledge. In those times, this blessed individual referred to these lands as Shahrukhiya. (This refers to events during the time of Mirzo Ulugbek, when the territories of Jizzakh and Zomin were part of the Shahrukhiya province. O.B.) This noble person devoted himself to studying sciences in Samarkand. Ultimately, he became an eminent scholar, and his mentor was Mawlana Ismail. These two blessed individuals were accomplished in both exoteric and esoteric sciences. Hazrati Sheikh Buzrukvar granted them both a cell on the eastern side of the khanqah.”
