In the upper part of Pishag‘or village in Zomin district, there is a sacred place of pilgrimage. The local people call this holy site the “Khojai Serob Ota Ziyaratgoh” (“Master of the Water Source”). Surrounded by greenery and life-giving water, as soon as you step into this sanctuary, a remarkable sense of tranquility envelops your soul. It feels as if the world, filled with worries and cares, is left behind, and you enter a serene realm. A little higher up stands a mausoleum. Opposite the mausoleum, a mosque rises, adding a unique grandeur to the picturesque nature of this sacred place.
The person whose grave rests here was a great scholar named Mawlana Muhammad Pishagariy. He was born in 1321. Information about him and his scholarly activities can be found on pages 215–216 of Fakhriddin Ali ibn Vaiz al-Kashifi’s tazkira titled Rashkhatu Aynul Hayat. According to these sources, Mawlana Muhammad was a prominent representative of the Naqshbandiya order within the Khojagon tradition, renowned worldwide for his knowledge in both exoteric and esoteric sciences. His birth year, according to the Hijri calendar, is 700, and his pseudonym was “Khojai Ser-ob” or “Khojai Sar-ob.”
It is said that this individual traveled from distant lands to our region and chose to stay. While passing through the Morguzar mountain, his eyes fell upon this beautiful and serene place, sparking a desire to settle here permanently.
